A sharp-eyed reader (Thanks Ely!) let me know that a new coffee shop is landing in Westwood. Window paper is announcing that expanding Australian coffee chain Bluestone Lane is moving into the former home of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf at 950 Westwood Blvd. (corner of Weyburn). And check out their offer for free coffee everyday during opening week by scanning the code in the window (or in my photo below)…

Never saw a Bluestone Lane in the 2 weeks I spent in Sydney November 2019. No one had heard of it either. It’s some sort of Australian coffee marketing project targeting the US and I’m curious who’s behind it. Ministry of Coffee on Glendon Ave in WWV is fairly close to the typical Aussie coffee shop/cafe you’d encounter in Sydney or elsewhere in Australia.
