As poke hysteria grips the Westside, we learn of yet another raw fish establishment vying for a place at the table. Back in December I told you about the demise of El Segundo’s Salad Creations at 2259 E Maple Ave. in The Edge at Campus El Segundo, next to the giant Elevon complex currently under construction. Signs have recently gone up on the space indicating that the new tenant will be Ono Poke Hawaiian Poke Bowl. No word on an opening date, but I’ll keep watching.

I love, love, loved Salad creations and miss them horribly. Ono Poke coming in their place is the only storefront that could bring me comfort after my terrible loss. Well, Ono Poke and Hummus Republic would make it okay, but wait, Hummus Republic will be just a few doors down, so I will have a little a slice of heaven at The Edge. …. I still can’t believe that Salad Creations wasn’t making enough money, they were usually packed.

I work in the el Segundo area and i LOVED Salad creations, their salads were phenomenal. I’m glad i’m not the only one missing them. I work in the Sanrio building and was sad when I found out Ugly Pie was closing, however I am happy a Poke place is opening up in walking distance as I usually go to Bristol Farms for my Poke, good to know that there is another Poke place close.
