For much of 2022, Montana Ave. was buzzing about a new Asian eatery landing on the tony avenue in Santa Monica, but few details emerged. Now we know exactly what’s coming. Billing itself as “Fresh Asian Fusion”, Bun & Mi will officially soft open on Monday Jan. 16th at 1004 Montana. Look for a menu of banh mi, salad bowls, rice and noodle bowls, spring rolls and more, with take away and limited seating options. Layla Bagels is set to open maybe next week at 1614 Ocean Park Blvd. There is a sign in the window that it is friends and family week, so I imagine they will open to the public very soon. It’s a beautifully built space.
Good first review but man that is one expensive rice bowl.
I haven’t tried it yet, but I have high hopes!
