Little Sister Coming To Beverly Center

I recently noticed window paper on a ground floor space facing La Cienega in Beverly Center. It appears that Little Sister is moving in. With three extant locations and more on the way, Little Sister offers a unique take on cuisine resulting from “rich collisions of food and culture that was borne out of the European colonization of Southeast Asia”. Florence Osteria Bringing Pizza & Vino To Downtown Santa Monica

Buzzy Beverly Grove charmer Florence Osteria is opening a Downtown Santa Monica branch. Their website confirms it, and signs have recently gone up on the space at 413 Santa Monica Blvd. Florence Osteria boasts “authentic flavors of Tuscany”, while the sign on the front promises a focus on “pizza & vino”. They appear close to opening, but until then, get more details here.

Community Goods Coming To Brentwood

There is a lot of news coming out of Brentwood lately. I had been hearing that Beverly Grove’s crazy popular coffee shop Community Goods was opening in Brentwood, but I couldn’t find any proof. There’s nothing visible from the street. Thankfully, a sharp-eyed reader sent me the evidence. If you look carefully at the floorplan of the shopping center that is being remodeled on the corner of San Vicente and Montana Ave, the location is revealed. Community Goods in moving into a back space of The Lawn, at 11911 San Vicente. Expect a focused menu of coffee drinks and breakfast and lunch choices such as breakfast sliders, turkey or tuna sandwiches, toasts, and banana bread. Crust & Crave Coming To Beverly Center

There’s plywood up on one of the sixth-floor spaces, next to Macy’s, in the beloved shopping paradise Beverly Center.  Written in clear cursive is the name Crust & Crave.  If you go to the Beverly Center website, there’s little description except for a picture of a sandwich.  The website given links to a food court development.  If you have more information, let me know…

Ettore Bringing Organic Food & Wine To The Original Farmers Market

Something new is coming to The Original Farmers Market at 3rd and Fairfax.  There are banners up on a space on the south side of the Market announcing the arrival of Ettore Organic Food & Wine OsteriaEttore Winery hails from Mendocino where it produces an “organic and terroir-driven range” of wines and olive oil.  They appear to be branching out into food as this one is promising us an osteria.  Read more about Ettore‘s arrival to Mendocino from Europe here.  

It’s Boba Time Bounces Into Beverly Grove

There’s a banner up on on the space at 8250 West 3rd Street, Suite 106 (corner of Sweetzer) in Beverly Grove announcing a branch of drink expert It’s Boba TimeIBT has a multitude of locations across The Southland with about 30 more in the works.  Expect a menu of 140 different customizable drinks including “smoothies, slushes, coffees, juices, milk teas, shaved ice, and milk foams” using fresh fruit and popular toppings.

BOP Asian Rice Bowl Coming To West 3rd St. In Beverly Grove

It appears that a new eatery is landing in the vacant space at 8234 W 3rd St. in LA (Beverly Grove) occupied in the past by such businesses as a barbershop and a women’s clothing store.  Now there’s a banner hanging over the front announcing the arrival of BOP Asian Rice Bowl.  Not much out there on BOP, so I guess we’ll have to wait and see what will be on offer besides rice.
