M Café Closes Up Shop In Beverly Hills

Well, this was a bit of a shocker…  The other day, when I popped in for a green lemonade to M Café Beverly Hills, I was greeted with a note on the front informing me that after 10 years they had “officially closed”.  Not sure what happened, but I’ll keep my eye on their space at 9433 Brighton Way to see what develops.


The Market At M Café Brentwood Gives Up The Ghost…

Sadly, “contemporary macrobiotic” food source The Market at M Café has quietly closed down its location at 11678 San Vicente Blvd. in competitive Brentwood.  But all is not lost:  The notice on the door lets us know that they have a new location at 1800 Highland in addition to their other two locations and are looking to expand further.  I’ll keep my eye on the space to see what develops…



M Café’s New Holiday Menu

M Café de Chaya has just rolled out their new holiday prix-fixe dinner.  Here’s the three course menu: 

Smooth & Silky Celery Root Soup
vanilla-scented green apple & chives

Winter Field Greens with Fennel, Cranberries & Bosc Pear
crumbled tofu “bleu” cheese, maple-glazed walnuts,
red wine & shallot vinaigrette

Smoked Tofu, Pumpkin & Chestnut Terrine en Croute
with porcini mushroom-red wine sauce

Plus 2 choices from an assortment of sides

“Renew+Revitalize” Cooking Demo At M Café, Beverly Hills

For those looking to do a little internal spring cleaning, M Café de Chaya, in Beverly Hills is hosting a “Renew+Revitalize” cooking demo with their consultant and celebrity chef Lee Gross on Thursday, March 24th from 7pm to 9pm.  Chef Gross will be demonstrating healthy and fresh ideas such as split pea and barley soup, spelt berry salad, and spring seaweed salad.  Cost is $35 per person and you can reserve you space by emailing amy@mcafedechaya.com.
