The Lineup at Venice’s New Colony…

As signs recently went up at Venice’s new “smart kitchen” The Colony at 401 Lincoln Blvd (previously home to a large encampment) readers have been excitedly asking me what would be on offer.  Here’s a partial list of what I know so far: Crumbl, Kakkoi, Main Chick, Goop Kitchen, Muy Thai, Good Steak, Behold Burger, Sweet Rose, Culture Crush, Xenia, and Jennie’s House.  You’ll notice that this list is very similar to The Colony on Santa Monica Blvd. You’re welcome.

Oath Pizza Bringing East Coast “Feel Good” Pies To El Segundo

I had been worried about The Works Shopping Center, tucked in behind it’s big box store neighbor Plaza El Segundo.  Just a short while ago, many of the original tenants had fled the quiet destination.  But hope springs eternal. The Works, at 700 S Allied Way, has been transforming into a food destination.  Along with Veggie Grill and Duff’s Cake Mix, newer tenants include Northern Cafe, Goop Kitchen, and Pinkberry.  And you can add one more: Oath Pizza.  Oath Pizza has locations mostly on the East Coast and offers customizable pies with crusts that are hand-tossed, grilled and seared in avocado oil with handmade sauces and humane meats.  This appears to be SoCal’s first.

Goop Kitchen Is Now In El Segundo

Certified Clean” ghost kitchen concept Goop Kitchen is now in El Segundo, at 710 South Allied Way in The Works shopping center, or more specifically, the recently christened The Works Food Hall.  In case you live under a rock, Goop is the “modern lifestyle brand” created by Gwyneth PaltrowGoop Kitchen offers a clean-food take-away menu of bowls, salads, handhelds, and more.
