The Skinny on Farmesa, Coming To Downtown Santa Monica

A few weeks back, when I told you about the lineup of eateries coming to ghost kitchen Kitchen United MIX, (formerly The Gallery Food Hall) at 1315 Third St Promenade in Downtown Santa Monica, I included links to each listed restaurant… except one.  At the time, I couldn’t find any information about Farmesa.  But just this week, details began to trickle in.  According to this Forbes article, Farmesa is a new fast/casual concept from none other than Chipotle Mexican Grill that will offer bowls with proteins, grains, greens, sauces, and toppings.  The menu is curated by famous chef and cookbook author Nate Appleman, whose CV includes San Francisco’s A16 and SPQR.  It looks like they’re shooting for a February opening.

Chipotle Disappears From The Golden Triangle

I’ve been hearing from shocked readers that everyone’s favorite grab-and-go burrito joint has abruptly pulled up stakes at 475 N Beverly Dr.  A notice on the front door informs us that Chipotle has unceremoniously quit the space that was previously the longtime home of a Baja Fresh.  Wasting no time, something has already leased the location so I’ll keep watch to see what may be taking over.

Chipotle Mexican Grill Moving Into The Old Poquito Mas Space In SM

I’ve known for a while now that something was moving into the old Poquito Mas space at 2025 Wilshire Blvd. in Santa Monica: The for lease sign came down a while ago.  But now we know what it is…  It looks like the former Mexican restaurant will be taken over by another, Chipotle Mexican Grill.

Another One Bites The Dust In Century City…

We wait with bated breath for the changes that are coming to the Westfield Century City Shopping Center.  And as things dramatically transform in the food scene, yet another eatery falls to the wayside.  It was only just two years ago that I told you that Vietnamese restaurant NiBi Pho Bistro had secured a space in the famously capricious food court.  Plywood recently went up over the space informing us that they have closed.  That leaves only eight eating places left in the court by my count…

Chipotle Now Open In Century City

I’m often surprised about how much interest there is in the opening of a fast food restaurant.  Those of you who’ve been closely watching its (slow) progress should be cheered by the news that after a ridiculously long time under construction, the latest branch of burrito chain Chipotle is now open in the food court of the Century City Shopping Center.  Chipotle

Blaze Pizza Coming To Culver City; Chipotle, Pei Wei Now Open

You’ll soon be spoiled for choice if you live in Culver City near the intersection of Sepulveda and Washington Blvds.  Chipotle and Pei Wei are now open in the Culver Crossroads shopping center.  Under construction in the same shopping center is a new branch of “fast fire’d” gourmet pizza restaurant Blaze Pizza at 4114 Sepulveda.  Look for an August opening but in the mean time, read more about them here: blazepizza.

Chipotle Coming Soon To Century City

Well, I think we can all heave a sigh of relief…  If you’ve been up late at night wondering what was going to take the place of the recently closed Baja Fresh in the mercurial food court of the Westfield Century City Shopping Center, worry no more!  Signs just went up indicating that the empty space will soon be inhabited by a branch of national burrito chain Chipotle.

Chipotle Taking Over Baja Fresh Space In Beverly Hills

There seems to be a load of restaurant activity going on in Beverly Hills lately…  Here’s the latest:  design-your-own-burrito restaurant Chipotle Mexican Grill is hard at work taking over the now closed Baja Fresh space at 475 N. Beverly Dr. in Beverly Hills (on the corner of Little Santa Monica).  And yes,  there already is a Chipotle down the street at 224 S. Beverly.  Unfamiliar with the ubiquitous Mexican chain?  Acquaint yourself here:
