The cupcake sensation is not over… The originator of the cult-cake that still inspires fans to wait in line in Beverly Hills is sharing their signature brand of sugary goodness with Manhattan Beach. There’s plywood up in one of the outdoor shops of the newly gussied-up Manhattan Village mall announcing a new branch of Sprinkles. Looks like they’re aiming for a Fall opening.
Lovers of cultish confectionary empire Sprinkles will soon be able to get their fix in Santa Monica. Just outside the sluggish and half-closed food court of Santa Monica Place a brightly painted storefront has appeared almost overnight. I looks like this outlet will only be a home to one of their signature ATM’s, but when you’re desperate for cupcakes, does it matter?
Back in 2015, I noticed that a new pizza concept, originally billed as Daniele Pizza, was taking over the old Adoteca space at 11712 San Vicente Blvd. in Brentwood. Later, we learned that the new restaurant was associated with the people behind Sprinkles Cupcakes, and we learned that the name was going to be Pizzana. Since then, a great many of you have been carefully checking for updates, so here you go… According to a spokesperson, Pizzana will officially throw open its doors on April 21.
